Simon Says Challenge: Sketch Time!

August 24, 2011

Before moving on to this weeks challenge we need you to cancel all your plans for next week, all leave is cancelled! Hehe. We need you all to join us on a HUGE Stamp-tember Blog Hop and Treasure Hunt!

For the second year in a row the Simon Says Stamp and Show & the Simon Says Stamp Challenge are joining forces to celebrate the approaching fall and winter holidays. Be sure to come back on August 31st, (MN Ohio Time, 6 pm CET ) to start the hop. It will run through to September 5th. Simon Says Stamp is offering a FANTASTIC GRAND PRIZE , and there will be other opportunities to win some hidden treasure too ! So make a note in your diaries and make sure you are here to join in the FUN !! :)

The challenge this week over at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog is all about the below sketch and is featuring Lawn Fawn (one of my very favorite companies!). You can their entire line of stamps from Simon Says (with their brand new August release coming out at the end of the week), and I’ve picked out two of my favorite sets to show off in this card. Also, this week we’re working off of Dawny’s sketch:

Here’s what I came up with:

The scalloped border is actually from Fanciful Frames. I love how versatile that stamp set is! The ribbon is May Arts silk ribbon inked slightly with Pumice Stone Distress Ink to match the inking on the rest of the card.

Make sure you head over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge blog to play along with us! You have the chance to win this lovely prize just for linking to an project inspired by Dawny’s sketch that you’ve created this week- a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!

Also, make sure to check out the other DT creations. Make sure to check out the full line of stamps that Simon Says has to offer from Lawn Fawn. I had fun playing with these cute stamps (as I always do) for the challenge this week. Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you later for more crafty fun. :)

This is a cute card! I have that set and have not used it yet. I remember that type of camera way back when, in the dark ages! LOL! Can’t wait to buy some of the new Lawn Fawn sets! OMG, gotta have about 3 of them for sure – cute snowmen set, what looks like a Christmas toys set and the Halloween set with the house, etc. The other one I want is the one called Winter Fox.
