Video Tutorial Monday 45 – Classy Silhouettes

July 18, 2011

It’s an exciting week for me already, and I can’t wait to share some happy news with you soon. :) I’m popping in today to share another Video Tutorial Monday with you. I’m working hard this week on classes and design team assignments; it’s super important to stay on top of this week for me. It’ll be a challenge, but I think I can do it. I think I can, I think I can. :)

Here’s today’s card:

I figured it was about time I use a border punch for once. ;) I bought this punch set from HSN (it’ll be available other places in October, I think), but really any Punch Around the Page punch would work for this card design. I’m lusting over this Cherish PAtP set as well as this Cherry Blossom one. So cute!

I also wanted to share another Trixie-ism. Hope it’s not too much cat talk; but she’s my little shadow who is constantly doing cute things. I can’t help it. ;) She has a thing for sitting guy’s pants and smelling guy’s shows and feet. Something about guy’s scent is comforting to her. (She also trusts guys a lot easier. New girls are automatically on her skeptical list.) My clothes and feet? She wants nothing to do with them. Haha.

But who cares when you can’t resist that face and those searching green-yellow eyes? Yup, that little kitty has got us wrapped around her little paws. ;)

Love,
Britta

Love your card Britta! I actually do not own any of those around the punches, if you can believe that! LOL! I do have some Martha edger punches and EK Success ones that are under the EK name (I think EK also makes Martha’s punches). But don’t have any of the 2 set ones. Love that Hero Arts set that you used. The girls are so pretty stamped out with the pearls. Interesting about Trixie. My sister-in-law and oldest brother’s cat has a fetish for men’s shoes! When guys come over to their house and they take their shoes off by the door, Chibi goes to check out the guy’s shoes and sniffs them. She will stay there for awhile and sniff and rub her face in the men’s shoes, leaving fur all over their shoes! LOL!

Beautiful card. Love the silhouette stamp.

It would be interesting to see how you set up your video camera (and is that the laptop one or a different one) – Your videos are always so clear and sharp.

    Thanks.

I’ll do a video on this soon, but in short: I have a mic stand set up over my desk with a tripod adapter on the end where my Canon ELPH 300 sits (it records upside-down and I flip it when I edit). All of the video quality is credit to my awesome camera and not to me. Haha! Thank you for the compliment. :)

Beautiful card and pretty kitty! :) Love the video too. I also have a cat that LOVES shoes (and feet)…anyone who walks in our house is fair game for Louie to snuggle their feet LOL! So Trixie-isms are also Louie-isms! :)

This is such a beautiful card, Britta! Love the pink and cream together, and the pearls =) Also, on a non-related note, I sent you an email a couple of days ago. Please let me know if it hasn’t arrived, and I’ll resend =)

Great video, Britta! I need to get my ’round the corner punches out again. Thanks for the inspiration. I have not been a big fan of the silhouette trend, but I love what you did with them here. You rock, girl! Thanks for all you share.
