Embellish Challenge: Sponsored by DeNami!

July 8, 2011

Okay, so this week has been about 100 times more complicated than I expected. I’ve actually been keeping up with and doing well in class instead of feeling behind lately, and it feels amazing. Unfortunately, that means that I’ve kind of dropped the ball on e-mails and the blog this week. Ugh. Balance is my new #1 priority, and I’m working hard to balance things out. I’m not happy unless I’m creating in some facet of my life, so I need some time to do that, too. :)

So if you’re waiting for an e-mail from me, be on the lookout for one sometime today. Today’s my catch-up day. Instead of posting a VTM this week, I think I’ll just post two on Monday. I think you’ll like that. Hehe!

Anyways, what I’m here to post about today is my card to go along with the DeNami-sponsored Embellish Magazine challenge that goes up today. The theme is nautical trend, and I wanted to take some stamps from DeNami that didn’t necessarily scream “nautical” and turn them into a happy, nautical-themed card. Here’s the challenge graphic:

And here’s what I came up with using DeNami’s PF43 Hearts stamp set:

Jenni Bowlin’s Spice Tin ink is perfecto for adding a Nautical touch, by the way. :)

Make sure you head over to the DeNami blog for several more samples from the wonderful design team and then head over to the Embellish magazine blog to play along with the challenge. The winner will receive a gift certificate from DeNami!

Happy Friday! It promises to be a fun, thunderstormy weekend here in Minnesota, and I couldn’t be happier. Life is good. I’m just looking for a little extra balance. ;)

Love,
Britta
