Getting Into Trouble.

April 7, 2011

I have a confession to make: I’m walking around trying to pretend that I’m not stressed out when really everything seems to be due, nagging or happening all at once. So sorry if I’m absent around here this week. I want so badly to be at my desk creating, but I just don’t have the time or energy. I got my box from Studio Calico yesterday, and everything looks soooo gorgeous. And it’s just sitting there, mocking me. Sigh. Soon enough!

I wanted to stop by and share this layout that’s my current favorite right now. I’m in a scrapbooking mood; between Kelly Purkey’s Sketchbook 3 class and my Studio Calico kit arriving, I’m just itching to pull out some photos. If I’m lucky, maybe I’ll get to scrap tonight! Fingers crossed. This layout uses the soon-to-be-released Lauderdale Basic Grey collection. Dear Jennifer let me use some of it when we were on the retreat together last month. I like a challenge. :)

Here are the pages individually so you can get a closer look. This is about basically Trixie doing things that she’s not supposed to do. Or at least that are weird. And, sigh, look at that little itty bitty cuteascanbe belly? OMG. Left:

Right:

And some of the details. I think those stamps (Hero Arts for Basic Grey: Lauderdale collection) really finish everything off.

I think it’s physically impossible for me to make a layout without a heart on it. Even if it’s tiny.

Supplies: Cardstock – Bazzil (Kraft) and Papertrey Ink (Stamper’s Select White), Patterned Paper – Basic Grey (Lauderdale Collection), Stamps – Hero Arts (Lauderdale Collection with Basic Grey), Ink – Ranger (JBS Spice Tin), Pens – Uniball Signo (White) and ZIG (Navy), Letter Stickers – Sassafras.

And just because I can’t resist, here’s that picture of Trixie with her little belly. You can’t resist it. I know!

In case you were wondering why she’s in our fridge, it’s because she jumps in there as soon as we open the door. Every. Time. We have no idea really why, either… no food is open in there. She’s just weird. I love her though, darn it.

Love,

Britta

Take a breath. And a break if needed…we’ll be patiently waiting. No sense adding more stress. You seem to pack more into a day than most do in a week! :) Love that fridge pic too!

Jeepers, this is too cute!!! I love your pages Brit – Trixie is such a darling, I could totally scoop her up and kiss that tummy ;)
And don’t break yourself trying to fit so much in – take a breather if you need, and (at risk of sounding completely parental) remember there is no substitute for sleep to “recharge the batteries” and to make sure you are fresh for your studies. Now that sounds embarrassingly like a lecture, doesn’t it?! But it is not meant to be ;) Just to say, that I can totally forgive you if you post a little less while you are catching up with yourself!! Hugs, Ruth S
