Creative Explosion: Day 3 – Lawn Fawn

March 30, 2011

I’m back today with my third day with the amazing Laurie. Seriously, her creations have blown me away so far! I’m loving this. Hope you’re enjoying this as much as I am! Today, we’re highlighting another one of our favorite companies (you all know how much I love them): Lawn Fawn. We’re using this lovely set, one of my favorites, Bake Me a Cake:

Here’s what I created with it. I just did some paper piecing with the Hello Luscious 6 by 6 pad from Basic Grey. The pretty papers really did all the work for me. :)

Here’s the close-up. I love the combo of bright colors and kraft, so I just couldn’t resist doing that for this card so that the cake would really take center stage.

Supplies: Cardstock – Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream and Kraft), Patterned Paper – Basic Grey (Hello Luscious 6 by 6 pad), Stamps – Lawn Fawn (Bake Me a Cake and Year One), Ink – Ranger (Jenni Bowlin Studios ink in Brown Sugar and Distress Ink in Tea Dye), Gemstones – Unknown, Corner Rounder – WRMK, Twine – Papertrey Ink.

I could make up several of these and just change up the paper collection I use to get a huge variety of looks. Maybe one for a wedding using off-white patterns or a manly cake using blues and reds? That’s why I love this stamp set so much; it’s so versatile.

Thanks for joining me for another Creative Explosion! day with Laurie and me. Now head on over to her blog and leave her some love. Will be back tomorrow with something you haven’t seen from me before, stampwise. :)

Love,

Britta
