Video Tutorial Monday 28 – Using New Stamps

March 21, 2011

It’s an overcast Monday here in Minnesota, but I’m feeling good. I went to class and have a good schedule to make sure I stay on top of my work, worked out when I got home, and am currently catching up on e-mails, filming a couple videos for this week, and doing some homework. I’m busy but on top of things. This is how I like to be! I do apologize in advance if I seem a little less present for the next several weeks. My semester ends in 7 weeks, and I really need to knock this one out of the park to keep my good GPA high. I’ve been slacking off a bit so far this semester and need to turn my butt around and make some pretty stuff. I hope you’ll understand. :)

This week’s tutorial video started out with me just simply wanting to use some new stamps. :) That’s my favorite kind of stamp! Hehe. Here’s what I created:

Isn’t little Anya so pretty? I loooove this stamp!

Here’s the video for this week.

Supplies: Cardstock – Papertrey Ink (Kraft, Sweet Blush, Hibiscus Burst and Vintage Cream), Patterned Paper – Crate Paper (Restoration 6 by 6 pad), Stamps – The Greeting Farm (Birthday Anya) and Hero Arts (CG298 Life of the Party Dots and CL340 Birthday Sayings), White Pen – Uniball Signo, Ink – Ranger (Jenni Bowlin Studios in Brown Sugar and Chewing Gum), Pearls – Hero Arts (Mixed Accents in Blush), Corner Rounder – WRMK.

I have a to-do list as long as my arm still tonight, so I’m going to dash off and do that. I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial and are looking forward to the last two No-Stress Distress Ink videos this week! They’re sure to be fun ones. Thanks for stopping by today! Leave a comment to tell me what new stamp you’re excited to ink up this week. ;)

Love,

Brit

Love the card; sooo cute! I feel you about the end of the semester rush! I’ve got a few weeks left, and I can’t wait till summer. I just got a couple of lawn fawn stamps in the mail, so I can’t wait to ink ’em up :)

Thanks for sharing, Anya is very cute. I have a collection of stamps waiting to be used, some older ones from all the good sales of late and some newer ones. As it is Autumn here, not that you can tell yet by temp, as it is still the the late 80’s and 90’s (I think I converted it right) I am looking forward to hibernating in the craft room for the winter.

I watched your video while walking on the treadmill and it made walking on the treadmill seem a little bit less of a drag. Heh. I have a stamp with journaling lines that I haven’t used yet. But it’s a rubber stamp mounted on a wood block, so I’m waiting for the Stampamajig I ordered to get here so that I can test out how well that works and piece together longer lines with that stamp.
