Video Tutorial Monday 27 – Thank You Gift Tag

March 15, 2011

This is going up a little bit late, but better late than never! I’m just trying to catch up here and will edit and post No-Stress Distress Inks #9 later tonight or early tomorrow. Not going to lie, I love this technique that I’m sharing with you! So stay tuned for that. I have lots to talk to you and post about, so there may be some random posts thrown in here this week. Lots of amazing product coming out and I got to try a bunch of really cool products this weekend, so I’m working on a wrap-up post of the weekend and some cool things about it. Anyways, here’s the video for this week:

Here is the finished project. It’s really quick and simple, but I just love this idea so I had to share.

Here’s the close-up:

Supplies: Cardstock – Papertrey ink (Kraft and Scarlett Jewel), Tag Die – Papertrey Ink (Tag Sale #1), Stamps – Papertrey Ink (Fillable Frames Additions 1), Ink – Ranger (Tea Dye Distress Ink) and Tsukineko (Versamark), Embossing Powder – American Crafts (White Zing), Ribbon – from ZipperStop on etsy (Whisper White seam binding).

Tonight will be a night to relax and unwind. I’m hanging out over at my boyfriend’s place tonight and making cards with his roommate, Jake. He said he wanted something to do that’ll exercise his right brain, so I brought some stamps and pretty paper over so he can make cards with me. :) It’s sure to be an interesting time.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you again soon with some more really cool stuff. :)

Great idea for the tag and also the iadea to keep a stash of tags on hand. One request – please post JAKE’s cards on your blog this week! ;-)

I’d really like to see Jake’s cards too! There aren’t very many opportunities to see a card created by a guy! (except for TH of course.) Love your beautiful tag, Britt! Can’t wait to see all the fun stuff coming up!

Very cute…great idea to have these tucked away in your stash for quick gift-giving. Question: My acrylic plates look much like yours … {well loved}! Because of this I get lots of scratchy cuts on the back side of the die … do you too? Most times it’s not a worry ’cause it will be adhered to a project but in the case of a tag or bookmark it’s not very pretty… any thoughts?
